"Our Children, Ourselves" - Claire and Phil want Alex to relax a little about her studies, but then they start questioning their own intellectual drives. Meanwhile, Gloria tries to befriend another nice couple, much to Jay's chagrin, and Mitch and Cam run into and old female flame of Mitchell's, only to make a disturbing discovery, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.  

"Modern Family" stars Ed O'Neill as Jay Pritchett, Julie Bowen as Claire Dunphy, Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy, Sof'a Vergara as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell Pritchett, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley Dunphy, Nolan Gould as Luke Dunphy, Ariel Winter as Alex Dunphy and Rico Rodriguez as Manny Delgado.

Guest cast includes Mary Lynn Rajskub as Tracy, Mark Povinelli as Bobby, Adam Kulbersh as Mike Hoffman, Stephnie Weir as Stephanie Hoffman, Anjali Bhimani as Nina Patel and Ajay Mehta as Vish Patel.

"Our Children, Ourselves" was written by Dan O'Shannon and Bill Wrubel, and directed by Adam Shankman.

"Modern Family" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's Selected HD Format, with 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.
