NBC News' MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD won the demo most valued by news advertisers for the 2017 July Sweep, outperforming its competition by double-digits and continuing its season-to-date lead as the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, according to Nielsen data.

MTP's July Sweep win in the key demo is its eighth consecutive sweep period at #1. An average of 873,000 A25-54 viewers tuned into MTP during the July Sweep period: +17 percent (+129,000) more than ABC's "This Week" and +35 percent (+225,000) more than CBS' "Face the Nation." Compared to the last sweep period (2017 May Sweep), MTP grew its key demo lead over CBS by +31 percent (+225,000 vs. +172,000).

2.984 million viewers, on average, tuned into MTP during the July Sweep period, which was comprised of only two rated programs. MTP beat ABC in total viewers by five percent (+128,000). MTP, separated from CBS' half-hour program by just two percent (47,000) in total viewers for the sweep, narrowed its margin by +83 percent compared to the 2017 May Sweep (-47,000 vs. -282,000).

MTP rated for an average of 51 minutes during the 2017 July Sweep, eight minutes more than ABC and 21 minutes more than CBS, which continues to rate for only 30 minutes of its hour-long program.

This past Sunday, July 23, MTP was preempted for coverage of the 2017 Open Championship.
