MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD Wins Sunday as No. 1 in Key Demo

MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD (MTP) was the most-watched Sunday show in the key demo this past Sunday, January 14, according to Nielsen Media Research data. Sunday's broadcast featured exclusive interviews with Senators Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) as well as civil rights icon Andrew Young, all who reacted to President Donald Trump's immigration comments earlier in the week.

MTP won in the demo most valued by news advertisers for its sixth straight broadcast. 1.035 million A25-54 viewers tuned into the Sunday program: seven percent (+466,000) more than ABC's "This Week" and three percent (+31,000) more than CBS' "Face the Nation."

3.982 million total viewers tuned into MTP, topping ABC in total viewers for the 40th straight broadcast: +13 percent (+466,000) more than ABC. Just 15,000 viewers separated MTP from CBS, which only rates for the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast. Compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP grew by two percent (+94,000) in total viewers and improved its margin over CBS by +170,000 viewers.

Season-to-date, MTP continues as the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo, beating competition by double-digits: ABC by +14 percent (+115,000) and CBS by +20percent (+158,000).

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming its competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers since March 22, 2015.

An additional 1.060 million total viewers and 295,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
