"Meet the Press with David Gregory" was the top-rated Sunday morning public affairs hour for November 11, 2012, according to Nielsen Media Research data.
“Meet the Press” attracted 3.313 million total viewers, leading This Week by +352,000, the Face the Nation hour by +951,000, and FOX News Sunday by +2,094,000. MTP delivered an additional 1,601,000 total viewers and 872,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts -- 621,000 total viewers and 416,000 viewers A25-54 on the network, and 980,000 total viewers and 456,000 viewers A25-54 on MSNBC.In Washington, DC, MTP averaged 103,000 total viewers (4.0/11 HH), +87% over FOX News Sunday’s 55,000 viewers (1.8/5 HH), +124% more than This Week’s 46,000 viewers (1.5/4 HH), and +145% ahead of the Face the Nation hour’s 42,000 viewers (1.6/4 HH). This marks MTP’s best total viewer delivery in Washington in six weeks (since September 30, 2012).Highlights:MTP averaged 3.313 million total viewers, +12% (+352,000) ahead of This Week’s 2.961 million, +40% (+951,000) ahead of the Face the Nation hour’s 2.362 million, and +172% (+2,094,000) ahead of FOX News Sunday’s 1.219 million.In homes, MTP delivered a 2.5 rating and 6 share, ahead of This Week’s 2.1/6, the Face the Nation hour’s 1.8/4, and FOX News Sunday’s 0.9/2.
In rating A25-54, MTP topped This Week by +13% (+1 tenth), the Face the Nation hour by +29% (+2 tenths), and FOX News Sunday by +125% (+5 tenths).
MTP averaged 1,052,000 A25-54 (000) viewers, leading This Week by +18% (+160,000), the Face the Nation Hour by +37% (+283,000), and FOX News Sunday by +147% (+626,000).
Week-to-week, MTP was up in total viewers (+3%, or +87,000) and rating W25-54 (+13%).
Versus the same broadcast last season, MTP was up in total viewers (+10%, or +290,000), rating W18-49 (+20%), and rating W/A25-54 (+13%/+13%).
Compared to its 4Q’12/season-to-date average, MTP was also up in total viewers (+9%, or +270,000), rating W18-49 (+20%) and rating W/M/A25-54 (+29%/+13%/+13%).
