MASTERCLASS Announces Ron Howard's Online Directing Class is Officially Available Starting Today

MasterClass, the online education company that that enables anyone to learn from the best in the world, today launched a class on Directing taught by Ron Howard, the Academy Award winning director of A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, Frost/Nixon, The Da Vinci Code, Parenthood, Splash, Cocoon, The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years, Genius, and the highly anticipated Solo: A Star Wars Story.

In his MasterClass, Howard shares his unique approach to filmmaking, breaking down his process from pre-production through to post. The class covers topics including choosing a story, evaluating and refining a script, cinematography, casting, working with actors, editing, music and scoring, and collaboration. To bring these lessons to life, Howard deconstructs scenes from his own work, including Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind, and blocks a Frost/Nixon scene from start to finish in a workshop with student actors. With over 25 video lessons, a workbook full of resources and exercises, and optional interactive assignments, Ron Howard's MasterClass offers aspiring filmmakers an intimate view into his creative process and inspiration for storytelling.
