Lucas Black to Join Scott Bakula in CBS' NCIS Spinoff

According to Deadline, FAST & FURIOUS' Lucas Black has signed on to join Scott Bakula in CBS' upcoming NCIS spinoff, which will air in a two-part episode this Spring. Gary Glasberg and Mark Harmon will serve as executive producers. Zoe McLellan also co-stars.

The series focuses on the NCIS New Orleans office which handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle. New Orleans with its rich setting of music, fun and debauchery is a magnet for military personnel on-leave. And with fun comes trouble.

Bakula is best known for his five year stint on the innovative series "Quantum Leap" for which he won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series. The actor was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for his role in the Award Winning HBO Films Liberace biopic "Behind The Candlelabra, where he re-teamed with his THE INFORMANT co-star Matt Damon and director Steven Soderbergh.

Currently Bakula is starring in the new HBO dramedy "Looking." Bakula recurs as 'Lynn' an entrepreneur and pillar of the Castro community. This past year he traveled to India to shoot the musical feature BASMATI BLUES starring Brie Larson, Donald Sutherland, and Tyne Daly, as well as the feature ELSA AND FRED opposite Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer. In 2011 he made his UK stage debut in the world premiere of "Terrible Advice" at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London. He was last seen on series television in the critically acclaimed TNT series "Men of A Certain Age." Bakula is repped by ICM Partners, Anonymous Content, and attorney Don Steele.
