Liza Minnelli Cancels Guest Appearance on TV Land's HOT IN CLEVELAND

As first reported on TVGuide.com, legendary performer Liza Minnelli has cancelled her upcoming guest star appearance on the TV Land comedy HOT IN CLEVELAND due to health issues. 

Minnelli, who will turn 66-years-old on March 12th, was scheduled to fly out to Los Angeles on March 12th for the shooting but is reportedly unable to fly due to undisclosed health issues. 

Minnelli was to appear in only one episode of the TV Land comedy. The entertainer was to portray the agent of Wendie Malick's out-of-work actress character, Victoria Chase. According to the report, another actress will be cast in the role. Representatives for Minnelli commented that the actress is a big fan of the show and that she is hoping to make a guest appearance in the future.  "Hot in Cleveland' also stars comedian Betty White and TV veterans Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves.

Minnelli last starred on Broadway in Liza's at The Palace...! which earned a Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event. Minnelli has won a total of three Tony Awards awards, including a Special Tony Award. She has also won an Oscar, an Emmy Award, two Golden Globes and a Grammy Legend Award for her contributions and influence in the recording field, along with many other honors and awards. She is one of the few entertainers who have won an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award. The actress was most recently seen on the HBO series 'Arrested Development' in the role of 'Lucille'.

In a recent interview with BWW, Ms. Minnelli confirmed that she had recently fallen and broke her leg in three places, but quickly added, "But you know, nothing stops me!"
