This film will be the first documentary about Lady Gaga and has yet to announce a release date, but Lady Gaga will make her film debut in Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills in 2013. The music super-star is currently working on an album with Tony Bennett.

Richardson's ties to Lady Gaga began when they worked together on a behind-the-scenes photo book with material from the pop star's 2010 and 2011 concerts. The volume was published in November 2011.

Richardson has a controversial reputation despite having taken photographs of huge celebrities and figureheads, including President Barack Obama. His sometimes provocative photos have drawn criticism, but the photographer continues to shoot for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and more.
