LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT Scores Program's Largest 4th Quarter Audience Since 2009

In the fourth quarter of 2017, THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT delivered CBS' largest viewer total in late night in eight years (3.88m) while increasing over its year-ago numbers by an impressive +30% (3.88m vs. 3.0m). The quarter also marks the first time THE LATE SHOW has beat "The Tonight Show" in a fourth quarter since 2009.

In the week ending Dec. 29, encores of THE LATE SHOW scored an average of 2.18 million viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Compared to the same week last year (also rebroadcasts), THE LATE SHOW was up +3% in viewers (from 2.13m). Season-to-date, THE LATE SHOW is up +33% in viewers (3.88m from 2.93m) and +13% in adults 25-54 (0.9/05 from 0.8/04) compared to last season.

Stephen Colbert brings his signature satire and comedy to THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT where he talks with an eclectic mix of guests about what is new and relevant in the worlds of politics, entertainment, business, music, technology and more. Featuring bandleader Jon Batiste with his band Stay Human, the show is broadcast from the historic and newly renovated Ed Sullivan Theater. Stephen Colbert took over as host, executive producer and writer of THE LATE SHOW on Sept. 8, 2015.
