As the nation gears up for the coming elections, Larry Wilmore heads to the most swinging of all swing states…Florida. His second SHOWTIME comedy special, titled LARRY WILMORE'S RACE, RELIGION & SEX IN FLORIDA, will premiere November 3rd at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The one-hour special examines this socially, ethnically, religiously and economically diverse state that, just like in 2000, could determine the outcome of the presidential election. Wilmore is intent on exploring how this unique state that produced two revered American institutions, NASCAR and Hooters, will choose the next leader of the free world.

The special will feature comedians Paul Rodriquez and Moshe Kasher, Republican strategist Ron Christie and Current TV's Ana Kasparian in a town hall format. Wilmore serves as a host, moderator and provocateur, and will conduct "man on the street" interviews to confront issues concerning citizens today. Instead of pushing forth either a right or left agenda, Wilmore prescribes to a "passionate centrist" point of view, allowing him to instigate a dialogue without taking sides. The special was taped in Jacksonville on October 24th at the Florida Theatre.

Most recently known for his appearances on THE DAILY SHOW WITH Jon Stewart, Emmy® Award winner Larry Wilmore has been a TV producer, actor, comedian and writer for more than 20 years. He has written for IN LIVING COLOR, THE BERNIE MAC SHOW (which he created and served as executive producer), THE PJ'S (which he co–created), THE OFFICE (on which he has appeared as MR. Brown, the diversity consultant), and THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR. He won an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series" and a Peabody Award for his work on THE BERNIE MAC SHOW. He's also an author and penned the book I'd Rather We Got Casinos and Other Black Thoughts.

LARRY WILMORE'S RACE, RELIGION & SEX IN FLORIDA is written and executive produced by Larry Wilmore and Jeff Stilson. Michael Rotenberg and David Miner of 3 Arts Entertainment serve as executive producers, with Jay Karas directing. The special is also produced by Melissa Wylie.
