Kurt Fuller has officially signed on to star opposite Jason Ritter and Alexis Bledel in Fox's upcoming comedy pilot FRIENDS AND FAMILY, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Kerri Kenney (RENO 911!) has also signed on to co-star.

The single-camera comedy comes from David Rosen, Sony TV, BBC Wordwide Productions, and is an Americanized adaptation of the hit U.K. series GAVIN & STACEY. The series follows the two as they attempt to maintain their relationship - originally formed online - while navigating through life with their offbeat families.

Fuller will play Ritter's father on the series,

Jane Tranter, Jule Gardner, and Henry Normal are set to executive produce along with James Corden and Ruth Jones, the original creators of GAVIN & STACEY.

Fuller will play Gavin's (Ritter) father, who is described as being "full of piss and balsamic vinegar." Your guess is as good as ours.

Kenney will play Stacey's (Bledel) mother, "who is simple, cozy and a little country."

Fuller has appeared in such films as MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS, ANGER MANAGEMENT, and GHOSTBUSTERS II. He has also appeared on USA's PSYCH.
