According to Variety, Judy Greer, Fred Armisen and Selma Blair have just signed on to join Billie Joe Armstrong in the upcoming musical drama GEEZER. Dallas Roberts, Chris Messina and Brian Baumgartner will also star.

Directed by Lee Kirk, the film features new songs by Armstrong and "centers on the mid-life crisis of a husband and father who, on his 40th birthday, decides to revisit his punk-rock past by throwing an extravagant party in the presidential suite of the Drake Hotel - where he encounters his beautiful ex-girlfriend and former bandmates who have since moved on to bigger and better things."

Best known as the lead vocalist, main songwriter and lead guitarist for the American punk rock band Green Day, Armstrong recently brought one of his most popular concept albums to Broadway- American Idiot. In 2010, Armstrong joined the cast of American Idiot, which won two Tonys, for one week in the role of St. Jimmy. He replaced the original Broadway cast member Tony Vincent in Fall of 2010 and returned to the role for 50 performances in January 2011.

Armisen, best known for his roles on SNL and Portlandia, is also currently working on the TV movie 7 Days in Hell. Among his other TV credits are Ambiance Man, Archer, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and more.
