Judith Ivey to Guest Star on GREY's ANATOMY

According to TVGuide.com, Tony winner Judith Ivey is set to make an appearance on ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' in May. Ivey will play the mother of Arizona (played by Jessica Capshaw).

Ivey won two Tony Awards as Best Featured Actress in a Play for Steaming in 1983 and Hurlyburly in 1985. She was also nominated for Park Your Car in Harvard Yard in 1992. Other theatre credits include Piaf, Bedroom Farce, Precious Sons, Blithe Spirit, Voices in the Dark, and Follies Most recently, She portrayed Amanda in The Glass Menagerie at the Long Wharf Theatre and will reprise the role in 2010 at the Roundabout Theatre in New York City, as well as the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Judith will be seen as Ann Landers in the upcoming production of The Lady With All the Answers at the Cherry Lane in October 2009.

Ivey has been in many films, including Brighton Beach Memoirs, Miles from Home, Compromising Positions, Harry and Son, Sister, Sister, In Country, Hello Again, The Lonely Guy, There Goes the Neighborhood, The Devil's Advocate, What Alice Found, and Flags of Our Fathers.

'Grey's Antomy' is broadcast on ABC on Thursdays at 9pm.
