Jimmy Kimmel Sees Best Ratings in Adult Viewship in Two Years this Week

During the week of June 14, 2010, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" saw increases over the prior week for the 2nd week in a row in both Total Viewers (1.80 million vs. 1.64 million) and Adults 18-49 (859,000 vs. 783,000). In fact, "JKL" delivered its highest Adult 18-49 number in 17 months - since w/o 11/3/08. In addition, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" registered its best Adult 18-34 number (384,000) in well over 2 years - since w/o 2/4/08.

· During the week, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" bettered NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" for the 4th consecutive week in both Total Viewers (+17% - 1.80 million vs. 1.54 million) and Adults 18-49 (+25% - 859,000 vs. 689,000). In fact "JKL" attracted a larger overall audience than "Fallon" for the 7th time in the last 8 weeks.

· ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" bested CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in Total Viewers by 14% (1.80 million vs. 1.58 million) and in Adults 18-49 by 37% (859,000 vs. 628,000), beating the CBS program for the 4th week in a row among young adults.

· "Jimmy Kimmel Live" topped CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman" among Adults 18-34 (+7% - 384,000 vs. 359,000) and Men 18-34 (+17% - 180,000 vs. 154,000), outdelivering "Letterman" among Adults 18-34 for the 2nd time in the last 3 weeks.

· On Thursday (6/17/10), featuring Josh Brolin, Lizzy Caplan and musical guest Broken Bells, "JKL" delivered its best late-night telecast among Adults 18-34 (585,000) in 2 years - since 6/10/08.

Ratings Report for ABC News' "Nightline" For the Week of June 14, 2010

ABC NEWS' "NIGHTLINE" IS #1 AMONG ADULTS 25-54 AND A18-49 ~ 4th WEEK IN A ROW

"NIGHTLINE" GROWS +48% AMONG A25-54 AND +63% AMONG A18-49 YEAR TO YEAR

ABC News' "Nightline" was the No. 1 program among A25-54 and A18-49 for the week of June 14, 2010, outperforming CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" and NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," according to Nielsen Media Research. This is the fourth consecutive week "Nightline" has ranked first among A25-54 and A18-49. Additionally, "Nightline" has outperformed "Letterman" in the demo for eight consecutive weeks, and for ten consecutive weeks among Total Viewers -- the last time this happened was in 2003.

Among Adults 25-54, "Nightline" averaged 1.67 million for the week, growing a significant +48% compared to the same week last year, while "The Tonight Show" in comparison declined -15% and "Letterman" decreased -1%. Among A18-49, "Nightline" was again the only show versus the competition to grow, averaging 1.48 million and increasing +63% year to year, while "The Tonight Show" decreased -30% and "Letterman" declined -4%. Week to week, "Nightline" grew +8% among A25-54 and +7% among A18-49.

Among Total Viewers, "Nightline" increased +17% year to year while "Letterman" decreased -10%. "Nightline" also increased week to week (+2%). Season to date, "Nightline" posted 3.81 million Total Viewers, just 40,000 viewers away from first place.

Note: "Letterman's" weekly average is based on 4 days (Monday, Wednesday-Friday).
