Magnolia Pictures presents LEMON, directed by Janicza Bravo, written by Janicza Bravo & Brett Gelman, and starring Brett Gelman, Judy Greer, Michael Cera, Nia Long, Shiri Appleby, and Fred Melamed. The film officially opens on August 18th.

Destined to be the most audacious, absurdist feature debut of the year, Janicza Bravo's brilliant, black-as-the-void comedy chronicles the singularly strange travails of neurotic (to put it mildly) failed actor Isaac (Brett Gelman).

When his blind girlfriend (Judy Greer) walks out on him, Isaac's life goes into freefall as he directs an unhinged staging of Chekhov's The Seagull, attends the Passover Seder from hell (culminating in a weirdly catchy sing-along about matzo balls), and attempts to woo a new flame (Nia Long).

As unnerving as it is subversively funny, with startlingly stylized visuals and off-the-wall musical cues, LEMON has the earmarks of a cult classic in the making.
