Jake Johnson to Star in Netflix Animated Series HOOPS

Jake Johnson (New Girl, BoJack Horseman, Spider Man: Into the Spider-verse) will voice the character of Coach Ben Hopkins in the new Netflix animated series "hoops."

Hoops centers around a hot-headed, foul-mouthed high school basketball coach who thinks turning around his God-awful team will take him to the "big leagues."

The first season will have ten 30-minute episodes.

"Hoops" is created by Ben Hoffman who will write and executive produce the show. 20th Century FOX Television is the studio and Bento Box (Bob's Burgers) is the animation house.

Jake Johnson is best known for his role of Nick Miller on the FOX hit comedy series, "New Girl." He also appeared in "Paper Heart," "Get Him to the Greek," "Safety Not Guaranteed," "21 Jump Street," "Drinking Buddies," "Jurassic World" and "Tag."
