Is ABC Creating A Spinoff Of THE MIDDLE?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC is apparently tossing around an idea of creating a spinoff to the hit series THE MIDDLE. The nine season run of the sitcom ended with its series finale just last week. The network is said to be looking at a pilot centered around Eden Sher's Sue Heck. ABC currently has room in its upcoming programming schedule with yesterday's cancellation of the ROSEANNE revival.

"The Middle" starred Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue and Atticus Shaffer as Brick.

The Middle" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound. This program carries a TV-PG parental guideline.
