Harry Connick Jr. to Mentor & Perform on This Week's AMERICAN IDOL

EW.com reports exclusively that crooner Harry Connick, Jr. will appear on tonight's American Idol to mentor the final four contestants, Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller, Candice Glover and Kree Harrison. According to the report, this week's theme will be "Then and Now," featuring contestants singing both a standard tune and a song from 2013.

On tomorrow night's results show, Connick will perform his new single "Every Man Should Know". Will.i.am. is also scheduled to perform.

After tonight's performances, it is up to the nation to vote for their favorite singers.

Tune in to see who amazes the judges and who falls flat in the all-new "Finalists Compete" episode of American Idol airing Wednesday, May 1 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live /PT tape-delayed) on FOX. (ID-1243/44) (TV-14 D, L)

In addition to his starring role in On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Connick Jr returned to Broadway during the summer of 2010 for 15 sold-out performances of Harry Connick, Jr. In Concert at the Neil Simon Theatre. His previous Broadway performances include the Tony-nominated turn as Sid Sorokin in the 2006 revival of The Pajama Game
