Hallmark's COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS is No. 1 in Primetime Among Women 25-54

Countdown to Christmas is maintaining its lead this holiday season, with its two most recent original movie premieres and propelling Hallmark Channel to be the number one network on cable in Primetime among W25-54 rating for the entire week of November 11 - November 17. "The Christmas Ornament" and "Catch a Christmas Star" claimed the # 1 and #2 movies of the week, garnering a 3.8 and 3.3 household rating, respectively. In addition, "The Christmas Ornament", which premiered on Saturday, November 16 and attracted nearly 6.1 million unduplicated viewers, was the #1 cable program for Saturday among households and W25-54 rating and drove Hallmark Channel to rank #1 on all of cable and broadcast in its 8-10pm time period for HH, W18-49, and W25-54 delivery. The holiday film was also #1 in key demo ratings for HH (3.8 rtg), W18-49 (1.6 rtg), W25-54 (1.8 rtg), and P2+ (2.0 rtg). "The Christmas Ornament" is the second most watched telecast in the network's history among household delivery and the 3rd most watched among total viewers. The Saturday premiere elevated Hallmark Channel to be the #1 network of the day as well as the #1 cable network in Primetime for the day among HH and W25-54.

The #1 cable movie of Sunday, November 17, "Catch a Christmas Star" attracted 5.7 million unduplicated viewers and ranked as the #3 cable program of the day among households. The original holiday film becomes Hallmark Channel's 3rd highest rated and 3rd most watched program of 2013 among households. In its 8-10p time period, "Catch a Christmas Star" was #2 in HH (3.3 rtg) and P2+ (1.8 rtg) demo ratings. The movie also placed #2 in HH (2,892,000) and P2+ (3,865,000) in delivery for the time period. "Catch a Christmas Star" boosted Hallmark Channel to be #1 among W25-54 for the entire day (.9 rtg).

In "The Christmas Ornament", Emmy(R) nominee Kellie Martin stars as Kathy Howard, a widow who hopes to find happiness during the holiday season with the help of a new romantic interest. Kathy is having a Hard Time facing her first Christmas without her husband when she meets a handsome Christmas tree shop owner, Tim (Cameron Mathison), who - along with the special ornament that he gives her - helps her to see that there is still hope and love in the world. However, Kathy is unsure if she is truly ready to move on. Will she stay stuck in her grief, or will Tim and the Christmas season help open her heart to a new life?

Shannon Elizabeth ("American Pie," "That '70's Show") portrays an international singing sensation, Nikki Crandon, getting a second chance at first love when she reunites with her high school sweetheart over the holidays in "Catch a Christmas Star". However, problems arise in the form of pressure from her record company, an old boyfriend, and the paparazzi. Will Nikki be able to overcome the many obstacles to finally be with the only man she has ever really loved? Stars Shannon Elizabeth, Steve Byers, Julia Lalonde, and Kyle Breitkopf.
