Haley Joel Osment Joins Cast of Will Ferrell Miniseries

Deadline reports exclusively that Haley Joel Osment has signed on to IFC's upcoming miniseries SPOILS OF BABYLON. The actor will star opposite Will Ferrell, Tobey Maguire and Kristen Wiig in the original six-episode miniseries being produced by Ferrell and Funny Or Die.

According to the report, the saga will "the sexy and dramatic lives of the Morehouse family who Made their fortune in the oil business. It centers on Devon Morehouse (Maguire), who as an orphaned child was taken in by future oil magnate Jonas Morehouse and his daughter, Cynthia (Wiig). Devon and Cynthia now run Morehouse Enterprises together while fighting their feelings for each other."

Osment will take on the role of Winston, described as "the devilish son of Cynthia. Consumed with a reckless ambition for power, she raised her son to worship at the same alter, and now he begins to insert himself in the family business."

Osment rose to fame with his performance as Cole Sear in M. Night Shyamalan's thriller film The Sixth Sense, which earned him a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He subsequently appeared in leading roles in several high-profile Hollywood films including Steven Spielberg's A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Mimi Leder's Pay it Forward.

He Made his Broadway debut in 2008 in a short-lived revival of David Mamet's play, American Buffalo, starring John Leguizamo andCedric the Entertainer. Osment is also well known for his voice-role of Sora and Vanitas in the Kingdom Hearts games.
