HBO-Inspired Art Set for Group Show at CCD Art and Supply Co., 6/20

On Saturday, June 20th, 2015, Brooklyn-based art collective THE CCD ART & SUPPLY CO. will hold their fourth group art show at Irish HAVEN in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The event, titled "THE HBO SHOW", is a pop-culture themed gallery-styled art show celebrating the original programming of cable television network HBO. Twenty artists will create art pieces based on HBO shows and events spanning thirty five years of the network's original content. The art will be on display starting at 8pm, and will be available to view until 3am. The event is FREE at Irish Haven, 5721 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11220.

"Mike came up with the idea to do an HBO-themed show," says Tommy Lombardozzi, the CCD Art & Supply Co.'s art director and co-founder, referring to friend and partner Mike DeVito, "and instead of just focusing on one popular HBO show, like Game of Thrones, we thought we'd open it up to any and all of HBO's original content! We figured that would give the artists an opportunity to really reach deep into the cable station's history and get creative."

THE COLLECTIVE had its first show less than a year ago and at the time consisted of fifteen artists. For this, its third show, THE COLLECTIVE has grown to encompass over forty artists. "It is just so crazy how big this collective has gotten in such a short time," said DeVito, noting that in addition to the shows, the CCD Art & Supply Co. has created to 10 exclusive online print collections of original content." Between prints from the show pieces and online exclusives, we have over a hundred items for sale and there's much more to come as we plan our future."

Aside from selling all original artwork and prints of the featured artwork at the event, THE COLLECTIVE will be holding a raffle whose proceeds will be donated to the cancer-fighting charity organization RELAY FOR LIFE. Prizes include gift baskets featuring artwork, apparel, gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses, as well as some pop-culture items and HBO-themed merchandise.

The artists exhibiting in the "THE HBO SHOW" are: Tommy Lombardozzi, Christina Rubino, Lockheed Lee, Joey Armao, Patrick Cooke, Erle Tompkins, Peat Vasquez, Brendan Shaw, Chris Xydas, Matt T. Perry, Mike Bailey, Elgin Braden, Daniel Lamanna, John De La O, Ray Arcadio, Brian Clarke, Anthony Picone, Cat Morris, and Alfred Accettura.
