Nearly 100 FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Visual Communications and Interior Design Students recently participated in the "Day with a Set Decorator" tour on the set of the Fox Television hit series Glee, which was sponsored by the SDSA/Set Decorators Society of America. The show's Set Decorator, Barbara Munch, led the behind-the-scenes tour. FIDM Students learned how sets are decorated and dressed, propping, lighting, and furniture layout.

"They also received behind the scenes design and decorating secrets from, Art Director, Michael Rizzo and Set Buyer, ElizaBeth Morris at Paramount Studios," explained Cynthia Patino, Director of Visual Communications & Entertainment Studies. The tour ended with a panel discussion by the Set Decorator, Art Director, Set Buyer, and Costume Designer, Lou Eyrich. Students then went on a prop house tour at Prop Services West and Hollywood Studio Gallery.

With four dynamic California campuses, FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising is the premier west coast fashion design college, educating for careers in fashion, graphic design, interior design, and entertainment.
