Geoffrey Owens Joins Tyler Perry's THE HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS

After being shamed on the internet for working a day job at Trader Joes, actor Geoffrey Owens has landed a recurring part on a Tyler Perry drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Owens has accepted Perry's offer of a recurring role on the OWN series The Haves and the Have Nots. He'll appear on the show's sixth season in 10 episodes.

Perry was one of the Hollywood stars who offered support for Owens the internet shamed him for working a job a Trader Joes.

Perry tweeted:

Owens played Elvin Tibideaux onThe Cosby Show, taught acting at Yale and guest starred on Elementary, Blue Bloods, Lucifer and Divorce.
