GLEE Star Signs On To Upcoming Thriller MISFORTUNE

Deadline reports exclusively that GLEE star Jacob Artist will join John Cusack in the upcoming drama MISFORTUNE. The actor will join previously announced cast members Ellar Coltrane and Willa Fitzgerald in the thriller directed by Lucky McGee. Lee Nelson and David Buelow of Envision Media Arts will produce.

Jared Butler and Lars Norberga penned the script which centers on"three childhood friends who stumble upon a bag of cash, which belongs to Miller (Cusack), a sharp, quick-witted businessman who has left everything behind to start a new LIFE AFTER embezzling a client's money. As the three try to outrun the WHITE COLLAR criminal hellbent of retrieving his cash, their greed soon turns them against each other.

Artist is best known for his role as Jake Puckerman in Fox's musical series GLEE. He will next be seen in the horror film Party Crashers. Other film credits include Gregg Araki's White Bird In A Blizzard opposite Shailene Woodley and John Huddles' After The Dark. On TV he has recurred on ABC's QUANTICO and appeared in FX's American Horror Story: Roanoke.
