Frank Langella, Liev Schreiber, et al. to Star in ROBOT & FRANK Film

According to, Broadway veterans Frank Langella and Liev Schreiber are set to star in Park Pictures Features' 'Robot & Frank.' The film will be directed by Jake Schreier and is currently filming in New York. Starring alongside Schreiber and Langella are Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, and Jeremy Strong.

As described by Deadline, the film 'centers on a curmudgeonly dad (Langella) whose kids install a robot as his caretaker.'

Schreiber played the title role in Hamlet in a December 1999 revival at The Public Theater, and 2006, he played the title role in Macbeth opposite Jennifer Ehle at the Delacorte Theater. In 2005, Schreiber won a Tony Award as Best Featured Actor for his performance in the play Glengarry Glen Ross. In 2010, he returned to Broadway in A View from the Bridge for which he received a Tony nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Play.

Langella's career off-Broadway was launched with an Obie Award in 1965 for his performance in poet-playwright Robert Lowell's The Old Glory: Benito Cereno. His other major off-Broadway productions include Edmond Rostand's Cyrano, Arthur Miller's After the Fall, John Webster's The White Devil, Heinrich Von Kleist's The Prince of Homburg, Andre Gide's The Immortalist and Shakespeare's The Tempest. He also received a Tony nomination for his performance in Belber's Match and Hamilton Dean's Dracula and has starred on Broadway in productions of Strindgerg's The Father, Coward's Present Laughter and Design for Living, Shaffer's Amadeus, Rabe's Hurlyburly, Nichols' Passion, Marowitz's Sherlock's Last Case, Gibson's A Cry of Players and Lorca's Yerma among others.
