The 1st Annual International Horror Film Festival (IHFF), a world class event honoring the best in American and international horror filmmaking, will be held October 21-27, 2016 at New York City's Cinema Village. The IHFF will bring the horror community together for a series of screenings, Q&As, appearances, special events and an award ceremony. Selected films will be screened alongside some of the most iconic horror movies of all time. As part of this year's festival, the IHFF will be honoring the legacy of horror icon Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, Last House on the Left), who passed away in 2015.

The IHFF was founded in 2016 by John Capo, a producer of the NYC Drone Film Festival. The festival aspires to become the premier destination to view the world's best horror films.

"Ever since I was a little kid watching movies like The Shining, Friday the 13th and Terror in the Aisles over and over, I have been a huge fan of the horror genre," said Capo. "I founded the IHFF to celebrate the incredible work being done in this genre and to bring the world's greatest horror films to the massive horror fan community."

Submissions for the festival are being accepted through June 1, 2016. To submit a film, visit www.internationalhorrorfestival.com
