According to the Hollywood Reporter, Broadway veteran Eric McCormack is set to star in and produce TNT's 'Perception' pilot. McCormack will star as a neuropsychology professor who helps out the FBI.

Additionally, McCormack has signed on for WWE Studios' 'Barricade' film. Michaelbrent Collings will pen the screenplay, and Andrew Currie is set to direct. As described by THR, the thriller is about 'a psychiatrist, seeking to find normalcy after the sudden passing of his wife, who takes his two kids to a remote cabin for healing and bonding. Their joy soon turns to despair when the family is terrorized by unknown forces and the father will stop at nothing to save them from peril.'

McCormack made his Broadway debut in the 2001 production of The Music Man. He is perhaps best known for playing Will Truman in the American sitcom Will & Grace, which premiered in September 1998. His performance earned him an Emmy Award in the category for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2001.
