According to The Hollywood Reporter, Canadian distributor Entertainment One has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to William Shatner's pay TV documentary THE CAPTAINS from producers Ballinran Entertainment and Le Big Boss Productions.

THE CAPTAINS follows the life of the actor beginning with his upbringing in Montreal, Canada to his successs on his iconic TV role of Captain James T. Kirk on "Star Trek." The actor wrote and directed the film which was executive produced by Shatner, Kevin Layne, David Zappone and Craig Thompson.

Patrick Stewart, Chris Pine, Avery Brooks, Scott Bakula and Kate Mulgrew are among the stars who make guest appearances in the documentary feature. Both The Movie Network and Movie Central will broadcast THE CAPTAINS Canadian pay TV networks.
