Emmy Winner Doris Roberts to Guest Star on ABC's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

TVGuide.com reports that Emmy winning actress Doris Roberts will guest star on an upcoming episode of ABC's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. 

According to the report, 'Housewives' star Eva Longoria tweeted the news of Roberts appearance yesterday, posting a photo of her and her fictional husband, Ricardo Antonio Chavira with Roberts on the set of the show. Details as to Roberts character have not been disclosed. 

Roberts is a five-time Emmy winner who starred as Marie Barone on the long running ABC sitcom 'Everybody Loves Raymond'. She recently appeared on an episode of TV Land's 'Hot in Cleveland' as well as 'The Middle' and 'Grey's Anatomy'. She will next be seen on ABC's comedy pilot 'Counter Culture', which follows the story of three sisters who manage a Texas diner together.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES airs Sundays at 9/8c on the ABC network.
