It's the most wonderful time of the TV year! The 2017 Emmys will be given out this Sunday September 17 and the nominees are anxiously awaiting for their name to be read as the winner. But who will actually get to hold that golden statue? And who should win? And who has been snubbed this whole time? Let's take a look at the major categories:

Outstanding Lead Actor, Drama:

The Nominees: Sterling K. Brown (THIS IS US) // Anthony Hopkins (WESTWORLD) // Bob Odenkirk (BETTER CALL SAUL) // Matthew Rhys (THE AMERICANS) // Live Schreiber (RAY DONOVAN) // Milo Ventimiglia (THIS IS US)

Will Win: Sterling K. Brown. He gives a phenomenal performance of an anxiety-ridden adult who is still trying figure out his true family after being adopted as a baby. It is a layered portrayal of a terrific character that deserves to be recognized.

Should Win: Sterling K. Brown (see above). But if for some reason Brown and his costar Milo Ventimiglia split the vote, Bob Odenkirk will snag the award for his consistently strong work on BETTER CALL SAUL.

Should Have Been Nominated: The criminally underrated Freddie Highmore for BATES MOTEL. The show ended its fabulous run this year and Highmore gave his all in every season. He proved his acting chops and continued to be snubbed every year. I was upset he never got his nomination for expertly playing Norman Bates.

Outstanding Lead Actress, Drama:

The Nominees: Viola Davis (HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER) // Claire Foy (The Crown) // Elisabeth Moss (THE HANDMAID'S TALE) // Keri Russell (THE AMERICANS) // Evan Rachel Wood (WESTWORLD) // Robin Wright (HOUSE OF CARDS)

Will Win: Elisabeth Moss. In the breakout show of the year and the breakout role of the year, Moss has been the favorite to snatch up the Emmy.

Should Win: Claire Foy. She won the Golden Globe earlier this year and has been a steady contender for her beautiful work in THE CROWN.

Should Have Been Nominated: Mandy Moore. THIS IS US has been the most popular drama, scoring numerous nominations. But the competition was too tight for Mandy Moore to squeeze in. However, her work as the matriarch of the Pearson clan should not go unnoticed.

Outstanding Lead Actor, Comedy:

The Nominees: Jeffrey Tambor (TRANSPARENT) // Aziz Ansari (MASTER OF NONE) // Donald Glover (ATLANTA) // Anthony Anderson (BLACK-ISH) // William H. Macy (SHAMELESS) // Zach Galifianakis (BASKETS)

Will Win: Donald Glover. He is absolutely captivating as the dropout-turned-rapper on the breakout comedy. He deserves the award for acting, but also for writing and creating the hilarious show.

Should Win: Donald Glover. But I would not be angry if Aziz Ansari won. His silent scene in the back of the Uber made me cry due to his subtle acting.

Should Have Been Nominated: Thomas Middleditch for SILICON VALLEY. Middleditch is always funny on the HBO comedy and deserved a little love. But, once again, it was an incredibly tough category to pop into this year.

Outstanding Lead Actress, Comedy

The Nominees: Ellie Kemper (UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT) // Allison Janney (MOM) // Julia Louis-Dreyfuss (VEEP) // Tracee Ellis Ross (BLACK-ISH) // Lily Tomlin (GRACE AND FRANKIE) // Jane Fonda (GRACE AND FRANKIE)

Will Win: Julia Louis-Dreyfuss. She is nothing short of perfection on VEEP and should be given her 6th consecutive Emmy.

Should Win: Julia Louis-Dreyfuss. She cannot be beat.

Should Have Been Nominated: Lena Dunham for GIRLS. After their final season, it was thought that Dunham would get a nomination for her hard work on the show. But she could not sneak in with the likes of powerhouse Julia Louis- Dreyfuss and the leads of GRACE AND FRANKIE.

Outstanding Limited Series:

The Nominees: BIG LITTLE LIES (HBO) // FARGO (FX) // FEUD: BETTE AND JOAN (FX) // GENIUS (National Geographic) // THE NIGHT OF (HBO)

Will Win: FEUD: BETTE AND JOAN. It was a beautiful show with a stellar cast but it will win because it is right up a voter's alley. Jessica Lange playing Joan Crawford? How could a voter not pick that?

Should Win: BIG LITTLE LIES. It was absolutely captivating, shocking and binge-worthy. The performances were great and the ending was worth it. It should win, but old hollywood glamour may overrule it.

Should Have Been Nominated: AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ROANOKE. It was a total departure from a typical AHS season and it worked. The midseason pace change amped up the STAKES in the best way. But Ryan Murphy isn't too sad about the AHS missing nomination, as he is enjoying his nominations for FEUD.

Outstanding Comedy Series:

The Nominees: VEEP (HBO) // ATLANTA (FX) // BLACK-ISH (ABC) // MASTER OF NONE (Netflix) // MODERN FAMILY (ABC) // SILICON VALLEY (HBO // UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT (Netflix)

Will Win: VEEP. It's a crowd favorite. Even after some are calling their sixth season their weakest, the show is hard not to vote for.

Should Win: ATLANTA. It was fresh and new and had a terrific cast. I would love to see it steal the trophy from the old veteran that is VEEP.

Should Have Been Nominated: INSECURE. The HBO dramedy was sorely missed on the list this year as it evoked real feelings in viewers and become a social media favorite.

Outstanding Drama Series:

The Nominees: HOUSE OF CARDS (Netflix) // BETTER CALL SAUL (AMC) // THE CROWN (Netflix) // THE HANDMAID'S TALE (Hulu) // THIS IS US (NBC) // WESTWORLD (HBO) // STRANGER THINGS (Netflix)

Will Win: This is a tough one. There is a lot of buzz for THIS IS US recently and Stranger Things continues to be a fan favorite. But I think STRANGER THINGS will win, just for the way it became a cultural moment.

Should win: Another tough one. But I'll go with the show that made me cry more than anything and that is THIS IS US. Every character was relatable and every moment was powerful. I would love to see a Network show win.

Should Have Been Nominated: BATES MOTEL. Highmore and Vera Farmiga were absolutely amazing as the mother and son pair on BATES MOTEL. The show's series finale was also beautifully written, with possibly the best ending of a show that I've seen. It would have been great to see the show get the right send off with a nomination.
