Award winning and Latin GRAMMY® nominee, El Dasa, is a talented and charismatic singer from Hermosillo, Sonora who was discovered in 2011 by mariachi legend, Vicente Fernández, when his band asked him to listen to his chauffeur sing. Fernández was so impressed by the young singer's talent that he invited El Dasa to join him on stage and sing a duet at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. The audience gave the pair a standing ovation and Fernández asked the spectators to support the young artist's career. El Dasa has two musical records under his belt "Pa' la Raza", "Alegre y Enamorado" and is currently working on his new album.

Composed by Dasahev LOPEZ Saavedra, better known as El Dasa, "El Hijo del Desierto" deals with themes of perseverance, friendship, roots and immigration. The song communicates, in a passionate yet honest way, what El Vato's story is all about using footage from the second season featuring the lead cast of "El Vato" El Dasa, Cristina Rodlo, Gustavo Egelhaaf and Ricardo Polanco, along with footage from El Dasa recording the song in a studio.
