Eddie Izzard Returns to EPIX 1/15/2011

EPIX, the premium entertainment channel, video-on-demand and online service, brings Eddie Izzard back to the comedy stage with the broadcast premiere of his latest one-man show. Eddie Izzard: Live at Madison Square Garden premieres on EPIX January 15, 2011 at 8:00 pm ET and will also be available at EPIX-on-demand and EpixHD.com.

Eddie Izzard: Live at Madison Square Garden, directed by Sarah Townsend, features the critically acclaimed comedian's trademark absurdist humor as he takes on the history of the world. "It's about everything that has ever happened ... with a few gaps," according to Izzard. As he runs marathons for charity and considers a run for office, the performer continues to win acclaim for his considerable writing, acting and producing credits, including The Riches, Oceans 13 and David Mamet's Race on Broadway. Izzard was also the subject of the Emmy nominated documentary BELIEVE: The Eddie Izzard Story, written, produced and directed by Sarah Townsend, which premiered on EPIX in 2010.
