Disney's Live Action MULAN Finds It's Star in Crystal Liu
According to CNN, Disney has cast Liu Yifei as the title character in the upcoming live action remake of MULAN. The Chinese actress is also known as Crystal Liu. The new film is set to release in 2019. It is based on the original animated feature, which was originally released in 1998.
Some of Liu's other credits include THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM, OUTCAST and FOR LOVE OR MONEY. In addition to acting, she is also a model. She is known for being an ambassador for Dior.
This is just one of many upcoming live action features Disney has in the works. Some of the already released titles include classics like BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, CINDERELLA and THE JUNGLE BOOK. Some of the upcoming titles in the works are THE LITTLE MERMAID, ALADDIN, and THE LION KING.
