Disney/ABC Television Group Wins WGA, CAS & Make-Up & Hair Stylists Guild Awards

The Disney|ABC Television Group won three Writers Guild of America Awards and one Cinema Audio Society Award this past weekend in ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York. ABC's three wins at the 69th Annual WGA Awards included Daytime Drama for "General Hospital"; Radio News Script, Regularly Scheduled, Bulletin or Breaking Report for "World News This Week," episode from August 26, 2016; and Radio Documentary for "Chernobyl: 30 Years Later."

ABC won the Television Series, Half Hour for "Modern Family" at the 53rd CAS (Cinema Audio Society) Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing for 2016.

The Writers Guild of America's 69th Annual WGA Awards was presented on Sunday, February 19, 2017, in dual ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles; and the 53rd CAS Awards was presented on Friday, February 17, 2017, in Los Angeles.

The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards were presented on Sunday, February 19th, 2017 in Los Angeles. "Dancing with the Stars" won the Award for Best Contemporary Hair Styling.
