Disney Jr's SOFIA THE FIRST Receives 6 Daytime Emmy Award Nominations

Disney Junior's "Sofia the First," the all-time record holder for the top two cable TV telecasts for kids 2-5, received six nominations for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The nominations for the hit series, which follows the adventures of Disney's first little girl princess, include the following:
Outstanding Preschool Children's Animated Program Outstanding Casting for an Animated Series or Special Outstanding Writing in a Preschool Animated Program Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition Outstanding Original Song - "I Belong" Outstanding Original Song - Main Title and Promo Created for kids age 2-7 and their parents/caregivers, "Sofia the First" follows the adventures of Princess Sofia, a young girl who is learning how to adjust to royal Life After her mom marries the king. Along the way, she discovers that the inner character of kindness, generosity, loyalty, honesty and grace is what makes a real princess. For 2013, "Sofia the First" was cable TV's #1 series in Girls 2-5 and the #1 preschool cable TV series in Total Viewers and Women 18-49. The Primetime special "Sofia the First: The Floating Palace" ranks as the #2 telecast in cable TV history among Kids 2-5 and the #2 preschool cable TV telecast ever in Total Viewers and Women 18-49, behind only the series' TV movie prequel, "Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess."Videos
