Disney Channel Ranks as TV's #1 Total Day Network for 25th Consecutive

During May 2013, Disney Channel, the 24-hour kid-driven, family inclusive television network, extended its streak as TV's #1 network to 25 consecutive months in Kids 6-11 (517,000/2.2 rating) and to 37 straight months in Tweens 9-14 (457,000/1.9 rating), towering over Nickelodeon by double digits for the 23rd month in a row in the target demos (30% in K6-11; 77% TW9-14). Moreover, May 2013 wrapped as the network's 2nd-most-watched May on record in Total Viewers (1.56 million) and Tweens, posting an impressive 6th straight month of year-to-year growth - dates back to Dec. 12.
Disney Channel closed out May as the #1 Total Day TV network for the 102nd consecutive week in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 - dating back to week of 6/13/11 - out-delivering Nickelodeon by double digits for the 81st and 83rd straight week, respectively. In Prime, Disney Channel lengthened its streak as TV's #1 network to 99 consecutive months in Kids 6-11 (917,000/3.9 rating) and to 95 months in Tweens 9-14 (797,000/3.4 rating). "Austin & Ally" ranked as the month's #1 TV series across Kids 2-11 (1.96 million/4.9 rating), Kids 6-11 (1.54 million/6.5 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.38 million/5.8 rating). Overall, led by "Austin & Ally," Disney Channel aired the month's Top 6 TV telecasts in Kids 6-11 (10 of Top 11) and Top 23 in Tweens (33 of Top 34) - Top 5 below: Disney Junior on Disney Channel Disney Junior, the daily programming block for kids age 2-7 on Disney Channel, rose to May highs in Total Viewers (1.34 million), Kids 2-5 (521,000/3.3 rating), Girls 2-5 (276,000/3.5 rating) and Women 18-49 (314,000/0.5 rating). Furthermore, the block has grown its May audience for 3 consecutive years in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5 and Girls 2-5, and for 5 straight years in Women 18-49.Videos
