DATELINE NBC Tops ABC's 20/20 Across the Board for July Sweeps

"Dateline NBC" on Fridays topped ABC's "20/20" across the board for the July 2017 sweep period, averaging 4.6 million total viewers and outperforming "20/20" by +963,000 (+27%). "Dateline" also won the A25-54 demo, averaging 1.4 million A25-54 viewers, leading ABC by 144,000 (+12%). This is the broadcast's biggest July sweeps win over "20/20" in total viewers and A25-54 since 2013.

Posting its largest July Sweeps lead over ABC in A18-49 since 1994, "Dateline" averaged 1.1 million viewers and topped the network by +169,000 (+19%).

Compared to the previous July sweeps period, "Dateline" was up +27% with 962,000 in total viewers, +20% with +231,000 in A25-54 viewers and +22% with +193,000 in A18-49 viewers.

The broadcast is currently in its 25th anniversary season.

July 2017 Sweeps Highlights:
