DANCING WITH THE STARS Showdown: 7 Becomes 6!

Yesterday on DANCING WITH THE STARS, the contestants exposed their guilty pleasure songs, dancing to hits from several decades and kicking things up a notch with multiple contestants earning their all-time highest scores from the judges. That doesn't matter, however, if they can't get the audience vote - so whose time is up?

Before we find out, it's time for the usual performances, double - because the show is filling a two-hour time slot instead of the usual hour this week.

The music guests included Constantine Maroulis, currently headlining the ROCK OF AGES tour. He and the cast perform a medley of songs put together for the broadcast. (I also spy Rebecca Faulkenberry, who was the first tour Sherrie.) They're in good guilty pleasures company: Hanson also performs their newest single, and New Kids on the Block/The Backstreet Boys perform a mashup of "Step by Step" and "I Want it That Way" as well. Finally, as far as the entertainment, AMERICAN IDOL's ousted Pia Toscano performs "I'll Stand By You" while rumored boyfriend Mark Ballas dances with Karina.

But the real question of the show is, of course, who gets voted out! Though it's nearing the point of the competition where the playing field is more or less leveled and the contestant with the lowest judges' scores isn't the always the one going home, in this case, it is. Chris Jericho (and Cheryl Burke) earned just twenty-two points last night despite a solid effort, and they're sent home.

So, with that we say goodbye to guilty pleasures week, boy bands galore, and Chris. Who'll be next as only six remain? Tune in to find out!

Wireless customers with AT&T may also text message their votes by texting the word "VOTE" to the number that corresponds to the team they want to support (message and data rates may apply). Viewers may also vote online at www.abc.com starting from the opening of each episode on the East Coast, until 8:00 a.m., PT the following day. Fans may cast the maximum limit of votes for each voting method.
