Gad Elmaleh stopped by CBS' THE LATE SHOW WITH Stephen Colbert last night to perform material from his acclaimEd English-language stand up show, Oh My Gad, which he'll bring to theaters across America, beginning in January. Gad's set touched on everything from adjusting to life here in the States, to dating American women, to taxi cab drivers in New York City. You can watch the full video HERE.

While Gad sells out stadiums when touring in Europe, here in the U.S. he's predominantly performed Oh My Gad, his first show done completely in English, in more intimate clubs, including a sold out 50 show run at Joe's Pub in New York. The tour will lead up to a headlining show at Carnegie Hall, one of the world's most prestigious venues and a pinnacle in the world of comedy, on February 11, 2017. A full itinerary is below. Tickets are on sale now. More info can be found at www.GadElmaleh.com.

While Elmaleh is arguably the most widely known and beloved comedian in Europe, he has now embarked on the newest chapter of his career: breaking through to the American audience. For this, he has crafted Oh My Gad, a stand-up show entirely in English, built upon the jokes that made him famous overseas and including new observations from a foreigner adapting to life in America. As he brings the show to theaters across the U.S. and Canada, he will continue the enormous task not just of speaking a new language fluently, but of using it with the timing, nuance and syntax required for great stand-up comedy.

Why would a comedian make the conscience decision to go from filling stadiums in France to playing clubs in America? Elmaleh says, "As a joke and as an exaggerated impression of Americans, I say 'I need to challenge myself.' But to be honest with you, it's true." This challenge has earned him considerable acclaim so far. He's appeared on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers, TBS's Conan, Comedy Central's The Daily Show and Nightly Show; has done radio interviews with This American Life, PRI's The World and WNYC's Brian Lehrer; has been profiled in Vanity Fair, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times and New Yorker; and was featured last year on Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars.
