Chicks Making Flicks' second short film "The Escape" will play at The Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema, Friday January 8th at 12:00 pm and Sunday January 10th at 11:45 pm.

The Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema is located in Idyllwild, California and has been called "A mini Sundance" by The Hollywood Reporter, and "The greatest little film festival on Earth" by Indiefilm.com. Its director and founder is Stephen Savage, who says: "We're film makers. The art form we've chosen has the power to inspire the world."

Chicks Making Flicks is honored to be nominated for 5 awards, including Best Actress (Harmony Smith), Best Ensemble Cast (Sarah Edwards, Harmony Smith, Andrea Martina, Somya von Eames, Marlene Mc'Cohen, Hollie Schwarz, Katherine Matthews), Indie Spirit Award, Mary Austin Excellence in Directing (Marlene Mc'Cohen), Mary Austin Excellence in Producing (Sarah Edwards, Hollie Schwarz) and Mary Austin Excellence in Screenwriting (Harmony Smith).

This is the second film festival for "The Escape". It premiered at the 120 Hour Film Festival in North Hollywood at Rattlestick West, which is run by actors Scott Haze and James Franco.

Chicks Making Flicks is an all female team consisting of writers, producers, directors, actresses, production designers and more, based in Los Angeles. They are dedicated to creating meaningful art from a feminine perspective, and their mission is to empower and inspire women around the world. They were founded in 2015.
