Variety reports that late night talk show host Chelsea Handler may be heading to Netflix to host an all new show. According to the report, the funny lady has reached a deal with the subscription only network. The format and schedule for the show has not been revealed.

A source familiar with the negotiations confirmed a recent story in the Post, saying Handler's deal with Netflix is a "done deal." However, another source warned that as of now, negotiations were still in the early stages and no official agreement has been reached.

The comic is currently finishing up the final year of her contract with NBCUniversal's E! for her popular late night show, "Chelsea Lately," which is set to run until December of this year. E! has not commented on the report.

On a recent visit to Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show show, Handler teassed that she would be in interested in working for an outlet such as Netflix once her E! contract was up.

Reports speculate that Handler would host a talk show format similar to her current show. The project would join a host of recent successsful series airing on Netflix including "House of Cards" and "Orange Is the New Black." The company recently announced that a half-hour comedy series starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin titled "Grace and Frankie" is slated for the upcoming season.
