Casting Roundup: Ruby Jerins Joins LOUDER THAN BOMBS, Beau Knapp Joins THE FINEST HOURS

Deadline reports that Nurse Jackie's Ruby Jerins been cast in LOUDER THAN BOMBS under the direction of Norwegian Joachim Trier. She joins Gabriel Byrne, Jesse Eisenberg, and Devin Makenzie Druid in this film about a father and his two sons three years after their wife and mother had died. Jerins plays a popular HIGH SCHOOL girl named Melanie who Druid's character is interested in. She has previously appeared in Law & Order: SVU, As the World Turns, Shutter, Island, Remember Me, and she will continue to be in Showtime's Nurse Jackie as it enters its seventh season.

Super 8's Beau Knapp joins Chris Pine in Disney's THE FINEST HOURS, a film centering around courageous Coast Guard rescue attempt off the coast of Cape Cod following the destruction of oil tankers in 1952. Also in the movie are Casey Affleck, Graham Mctavish, and Holliday Grainger. Knapp plays Pine's character's best friend, a Coast Guard member. Knapp recently wrapped filming for Run All Night, The Guilty Innocent, What Lola Wants, and Southpaw, all to be released in 2014.
