Casting Announced For YouTube Red Original LIZA ON DEMAND

The cast and director line-up for upcoming Youtube Red series, LIZA ON DEMAND, has been finalized, with production having recently begun in Los Angeles this month.

Premiering later this year, LIZA ON DEMAND will follow the chaotic misadventures that ensue as the eponymous character takes on various gigs, tasks and odd jobs in her quest to climb the ranks and become an "elite tasker."

The eight episode, half-hour comedy stars Liza Koshy, whose credits include "Freakish" (Hulu), "Jingle Ballin'" (YouTube Red), feature film "Boo! a Madea Halloween" and co-host of "TRL" (MTV), in addition to an incredibly successful two Youtube channels with a cumulative audience of more than 17.3 million subscribers and 1.5 billion-plus views. She also is co-creator and executive producer of the series.

Added to the cast and announced today are Kimiko Glenn ("Nerve," "Orange is the New Black," "Drunk History") and Travis Coles ("By the Book," "Superstore," "Great News").

Also announced today are the directors for the series: Todd Biermann ("Alone Together," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"), Anna Mastro ("Shameless," "The Bold Type," "Lost Generation," "Jane the Virgin"), Heath Cullens ("You're the Worst," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"), and Deborah Kaplan & HARRY Elfont ("Josie and the Pussycats," "Mary + Jane," "Can't Hardly Wait") - with Kaplan and Elfont also serving as writers and executive producers.

LIZA ON DEMAND is being produced by Above Average, a digital-first entertainment company founded in 2012 by Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video. This is the second time Koshy has partnered with Youtube and Above Average, following the successful Youtube Red holiday special "Jingle Ballin'" in 2016. Along with Koshy, Kaplan and Elfont, Courtney Carter is executive producer on the series, with Sam Childs serving as producer.
