CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 15. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.95 million viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 78.31% of the CBS affiliates.

FACE THE NATION posted double-digit year-to-year percentage growth in viewers (+26%, from 3.14m) and adults 25-54 (+33%, from 0.6/03) compared to the same week last year.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers (3.76m) and second in adults 25-54 (0.8/04, tied). Compared to last season, FACE THE NATION is up +10% in viewers (from 3.42m) and even in adults 25-54.

On the May 15 broadcast, John Dickerson interviewed former Defense Secretary Robert Gates; Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and three Republican members of Congress: Rep. Marsha Blackburn; Rep. Peter King; and Rep. Chris Collins. Dickerson also hosted a political panel with USA Today Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page; CBS News Political Analyst and Slate's Chief Political Correspondent Jamelle Bouie; Associated Press White House Correspondent Julie Pace; and Washington Post Columnist Michael Gerson.
