CBS's FACE THE NATION is #1 Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program with Over 3.7 M Viewers

CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers and second in adults 25-54 (tied) according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for April 10. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.73 million viewers and 0.7/04 in adults 25-54 - the demographic most important to those who advertise in news. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 78.31% of the CBS affiliates.

Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +15% in viewers (from 3.25m) and even in adults 25-54.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers (3.79m) and second in adults 25-54 (0.8/04, tied). Compared to last season, FACE THE NATION is up +10% in viewers (from 3.46m) and even in adults 25-54.

The April 10th broadcast featured interviews with Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Kasich (R-OH). Host John Dickerson also spoke with CBS News Elections Director Anthony Salvanto. This week's political panel included CBS News Political Analyst and Slate Chief Political Correspondent Jamelle Bouie; Dan Balz of The Washington Post; Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg Politics; and Ramesh Ponnuru of the National Review. The broadcast also featured an interview with filmmaker Ken Burns previewing his news PBS documentary Jackie Robinson.
