CBS EVENING NEWS Up Year-to-Year in Key Demo; Adds Viewers

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +7% year-to-year in adults 25-54 (1.5/06 from 1.4/06) - the demographic most important to those who advertise in news - and added viewers (+8%, 7.43m from 6.91m), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending March 11.

CBS tied ABC in adults 25-54 demographic on both Monday (1.6/06) and Thursday (1.6/06).

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY also continues to add viewers season-to-date (+2%, 7.58m from 7.43m).

On last week's broadcasts, Chip Reid and producer Jennifer Janisch reported the Wounded Warrior Project fired two top executives after a CBS News investigation; a team of correspondents covered the death of Nancy Reagan; Holly Williams reported on the Iraqi army's plan to retake Mosul; and David Begnaud and Manuel Bojorquez covered severe weather in the South.
