CBS EVENING NEWS Posts Year-to-Year Gains in Key Demo

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted year-to-year gains in adults 25-54 (+6%, 1.8/06 from 1.7/06) - the demographic most important to those who advertise in News - as well as viewers (+9%, 7.86m from 7.19m) and households (+4%, 5.1/09 from 4.9/09) for the week ending Jan. 24, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY added +670,000 viewers compared to the same week last year. Additionally, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY matched this season's best adults 25-54 ratings for the week ending Jan. 24.

Season-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +6% in viewers (7.11m from 6.73m) compared to last year.
