Broadway's Bebe Neuwirth Joins CBS' BLUE BLOODS

Entertainment Weekly reports that Broadway veteran Bebe Neuwirth has joined CBS' Blue Bloods in a three-episode arc as "Kelly Peterson", the new Inspector General overseeing Frank's (Tom Selleck) department. EW writes that Kelly and Frank met "several years ago" when "sparks definitely flew".

Neuwirth's TV credits include The Good Wife, Bored to Death, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, Frasier, Hack, Deadline, Cheers and more. She has appeared on the big screen in Fame, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Faculty, Jumanji and more.

Neuwirth last appeared on Broadway in The Addams Family. Her other Broadway credits include The 24 Hour Plays 2003, Funny Girl, Fosse, Chicago, Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity, Little Me, Dancin' and A Chorus Line, as well as off-Broadway's Golden Age, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Here Lies Jenny, Writer's Block, The Exonerated, Everett Beekin, Pal Joey, and Upstairs at O'Neals'. She also starred in Kiss of the Spider Woman in the West End.

Blue Bloods will return in its fourth season on CBS on September 27.
