Brian Stokes Mitchell and Lainie Kazan to Guest on UGLY BETTY 3/10

Lainie Kazan and Brian Stokes Mitchell are set to guest on the "Fire and Nice" episode of Ugly Betty. Lainie Kazanwill guest as Dina Talercio, and Brian Stokes Mitchell will guest as Don Jones. The show will also feature Rich Sommer as Jimmy Wilson, Alec Mapa as Suzuki St. Pierre, Neal Bledsoe as Tyler and Nestor Serrano as Anthony Talercio, with Adam Rodriguez as Bobby Talercio.

Episode description of "Fire and Nice" - To speed along the investigation into her house fire, Betty is pressured to date an annoying fireman, Jimmy (Rich Sommer, "Mad Men"). Wilhemina tries to prove to Don, an old flame from her past (Brian Stokes Mitchell), that she's just "Wanda from the block" instead of an uber-bitch, and Amanda draws closer to Tyler, convincing Claire to hire him as an in-house model at Mode. Meanwhile, Hilda meets Bobby's parents for the first time (Lainie Kazan and Nestor Serrano), on "Ugly Betty," WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Ugly Betty" stars America Ferrera as Betty Suarez, Eric Mabius as Daniel Meade, Tony Plana as Ignacio, Ana Ortiz as Hilda, Judith Light as Claire Meade, Becki Newton as Amanda, Michael Urie as Marc, Mark Indelicato as Justin and Vanessa Williams as Wilhelmina Slater.

"Fire and Nice" was written by Erika Johnson and directed by John Terlesky.

"Ugly Betty" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.

Brian Stokes Mitchell is a quintessential musical theater performer who will charm the audience during an evening filled with show tunes, ballads and classic love songs. On Broadway, Brian Stokes Mitchell was lauded for his performance as FrEd Graham/Petruchio in the 2000 revival of Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate, which earned him Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. He was also Tony-nominated for his performance in 2001's King Hedley II, and in 1998's Ragtime, for which he also became the sole recipient of the Drama League's Distinguished Performance Award, the nation's oldest theatrical honor.

Aside from his success on Broadway, Brian Stokes Mitchell's performances as a solo vocalist have been praised by critics nationwide and achieved sold-out status at the Hollywood Bowl, Disney Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Tanglewood and Ravinia. Most recently, he starred in a Christmas concert with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in a 24,000 seat auditorium, playing four packed performances, which will be aired on PBS this upcoming holiday season.

Lainie Kazan garnered a Tony Award nomination for her role in 'My Favorite Year'. Broadway credits include 'Funny Girl', 'Bravo Gionavnni' and 'The Happiest Girl in the World'. Other theatrical credits include 'A Little Night Music', 'Man of La Mancha', 'Gypsy', 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?', 'Hello, Dolly!' and 'Fiddler on the Roof'.She has appeared in various films, including 'Beaches', 'The Associate', 'You Don't Mess with the Zohan', 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' and 'Oy Vey My Son is Gay'.
