According to Deadline.com, both Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro are in talks to join the cast of The Weinstein Company's 'Silver Linings Playbook.' The film is based on a novel by Matthew Quick, and will be directed by David O Russell.
As described by Deadline, the story revolves around 'a former high school teacher who was institutionalized for depression and then released into the care of his mother. He tries to win back his ex-wife but becomes involved with an eccentric neighbor with problems of her own.'

In March 2006, Cooper starred in Three Days of Rain on Broadway with Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd at the Bernard B Jacobs Theater. In 2009, Cooper starred in the film He's Just Not That into You together with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Connolly, Ginnifer Goodwin, Justin Long and Scarlett Johansson.
Robert De Niro earned an Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Jake LaMotta in 1980's Raging Bull. He was also nominated for an Academy Award for his roles in Scorsese's Taxi Driver and Cape Fear. He also received nominations for his acting in Michael Cimino's The Deer Hunter and Penny Marshall's Awakenings.
